Max the Menace

My 18 month old max is my blonde hair blue eyed boy, who i think could be a baby model but is way to busy to say the least. He's one of those kids that just tune you out while you are taking pictures and you sit there yelling his name a 100 times and then make any and all random sounds just to get him to look at you. It still astonishes me when i look at him, he was this blob of a baby who just laid there for so long! You can say he was the kind to sit back and observe. He didn't roll until 7 months and then did a solider crawl along the floor until he started walking! He went from nothing to running in a couple of days! The whole entire house is now his play toy to climb on. I have never in my life seen a child who is so determined to do some thing! He already knows how to open any door in the house, not the mention the car door while driving on the freeway! I would have to say that at least 5 times a day he will hit his perfectly 360 degree round head on something, to this day he still won't put his hands out when falling! I also like to call him my mountain goat. He is climbing something at any given minute, and screaming for me to come get him because he is about to fall! I am about to take a chainsaw to the bar stools! I think i have at least spent $800 dollars in child safety latches for all of the cupboard's, i am really thinking i should have bought stock child safety latches! He even has a major cold now but it's not stopping him! I like to thank my mother quite often for cursing me with 8 kids just like me! Though on occasion my sweet blob of a baby comes back and sits on my lap for no more than 2 minutes and i see this sweet innocent baby that i don't have to tell no a hundred times a day! I can't even imagine what terrible 2's will bring my way!

I see nothing wrong for boys to have dolls too! So when i came across these dolls i loved them instantly! They are pricey but they come customized to look like your little boy! You can find them at craftsburykids.com under boys, then holiday 2009!

Crabby Kids!

Hi everyone! This is my very first post, I'm a newbie to blogging! My name is Kelly and i am 25 years old, and a single mom of 2 boys. If anyone knows about having to crabby kids, it's me! I have a 18 month old named Max and a 4 month old named Troy, who are both teething, and want to be held all day long! Never in my wildest dreams would i ever think that i would have 2 kids this close in age let along teething together! Also i would love to thank my wonderful mother who cursed me with 8 kids like me. I like to think that i was a spirited child, not a crabby kid! On some of my worst days with my crabby kids i think to my self, " Why would god ever let anybody get pregnant so soon?" But then they both will look at me and smile and i realize it was a blessing to get both!
We live in Washington State, where it does rain often but not everyday! I do credit a lot of crabbiness from being stuck inside a lot of the time. But that just means we have to get creative! I have to say that Max has at least 15 tantrums in a 24 hour period, which i think is 15 to many! No one ever tells you about the terrible ones when you think about having kids! And to top it off my kids are big kids, Max weighing in at a whopping 32 lbs, and Troy at almost 5 month is 19 lbs! So to say i have a good lookin upper body is an under statement!

I wanted to start a blog so that i could give my secrets for what help me in anything from picky eaters to diaper rash, aka the good, the bad, and the ugly of motherhood. I hope everyone that visits this blog will get something that they are looking for!
